Tauka Safari camp will opne to the public in september, 2025. The lodge will feature six solar-powered luxury tents, each elevated on raised platforms to minimize environmental impact while maximizing views of the rivers and surrounding plains. Inspired by local materials and traditional craftsmanship, the design emphasizes open-air living, with private decks for stargazing and en-suite bathrooms overlooking the wilderness. Our guests will relax in our spacious, stylishly appointed tents, complete with en-suite bathrooms and private decks. Unwind with a refreshing drink by the campfire, under the starry night sky. Witness breathtaking sunsets and sunrises over the vast Savannah.

Experiences & Activities

Guests can embark on guided game drives, walking safaris, and boat cruises along the Kafue River—ideal for spotting crocodiles, hippos, Buffalo, elephants and herds of red lechwe antelope . Fishing excursions and cultural visits to nearby communities will deepen connections to the nearby communities.

Sustainability & Community

Committed to low-impact tourism, Tauka will operate entirely on renewable energy and employ waste-reduction practices. Partnerships with nearby villages will foster community development, including education programs and sustainable livelihood projects, ensuring tourism benefits both wildlife and people .

Abou Kafue National Park

This park is Zambia’s oldest and largest National Park at 22,480 km2 - accounting for about 35% of Zambia’s total National Park estate. The Park was created in 1950 and is incredibly rich in natural diversity – both flora and fauna, with approximately 158 mammal species and over 515 bird species identified.

It is one of the few places in Zambia where cheetah can be seen. Other iconic species include Elephant, Eland, Roan, Sable, Buffalo, Wild Dog, Lion, Leopard and Hyena.  With 11 distinct major vegetation types, the diversity of experiences and environments is simply unmatched. The Kafue, as it is known, is one of the largest, most pristine and important wilderness areas left in Africa.
